Design + Commerce

Branding, websites and automation for Commerce brands

Four stages, one studio: build the brand, launch the site, grow the traffic, automate the work behind it.

The Co Creators Hub is a Design + Commerce studio in Ajah, Lagos. We take a Commerce brand through four stages: Build the identity, Launch the website or store, Grow the traffic, and Automate the work behind it. The people who design the brand are the people who build the store it lives in, so nothing drifts between the deck and the live page. We have done this for Access Bank, Wakanow, Petralon Energy, Foodcity and Dr. David Ogbueli Ministries.

Stage 01 — Build

What does a full branding project include?

More than a logo. The positioning, the mark, and the written rules that keep it consistent on a phone screen, on packaging, and on the front of a building.

  • Brand strategy — what the business sells, who it sells to, and what has to be true in five years. We design backwards from that, not from a moodboard.
  • Logo and identity system — every curve constructed, so corner radii, inner paths and geometry are specified and the mark redraws identically at any size.
  • Brand book — construction, clear space, colour in hex, RGB, CMYK and Pantone, typography, and every approved lockup.
  • Environmental design and signage — wayfinding and physical branding held to the same system as the screens.
  • Print and packaging — the identity on the things a customer holds.

Stage 02 — Launch

What kind of websites do you build?

Four kinds, and the identity is built into all of them rather than applied afterwards. The website is part of the brand, not a separate project.

  • eCommerce websites — storefronts built to sell, with checkout, catalogue and stock behaviour designed alongside the brand.
  • Corporate websites — the site a market, a partner or an investor judges you by.
  • Web apps — product surfaces where the customer does something, not just reads.
  • Internal dashboards — the reporting layer your team runs the business on.

Stage 03 — Grow

How do you grow a Commerce brand’s traffic?

SEO ranks you in Google’s organic results. GEO gets you cited in the answers ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google’s AI Overview generate. Different jobs. We build for both, because a buyer asking an assistant who to buy from never sees page one.

  • Technical SEO — crawlability, structured data, Core Web Vitals, internal linking.
  • Content and topical depth — covering a subject completely enough that search engines treat the domain as an authority on it.
  • GEO and AEO — structuring answers so an AI can extract and attribute them.
  • Animated explainer videos — the identity carried into motion.

Stage 04 — Automate

What can you automate in a Commerce business?

Two distinct things: AI agents that hold a conversation and make a decision, and workflow automation that moves data between the tools you already pay for so nobody retypes anything.

  • AI agents — qualify and route enquiries, answer at 2am, hand the real ones to a human.
  • Workflow automation — orders, enquiries, stock and records moving between systems without a person copying them across.
  • Reporting and dashboards — the numbers arriving where decisions get made.

Scoped into the brief, not sold as an upsell afterwards.

« Fit »

Who this is for

A good fit

  • Commerce brands where the brand and the storefront have drifted apart.
  • Founders who would rather brief one team than manage a designer, a developer and an agency.
  • Businesses being looked at by a market, a partner or an investor.
  • Teams who want to run the thing themselves afterwards.

Not a good fit

  • A logo by Friday and nothing else.
  • A redesign with no view on what the business is selling or to whom.
  • Work where the cheapest quote wins regardless of what is in it.

How a project runs

  1. Understand — what the business sells, who buys it, and what has to be true in five years. No moodboard in week one.
  2. Strategy — positioning and the decisions the design has to serve.
  3. Design — identity built and specified, then applied to the site and the storefront in the same room.
  4. Build — the site, the store, the dashboards and the automations, together.
  5. Hand over — the brand book, the systems, and a team that can run them.

Frequently asked questions

The things founders ask before they brief us.

Ask us yours →
01Do you only work with eCommerce brands?

No. We work with Commerce brands broadly — online stores, service businesses, ministries, energy and finance companies. What they share is that the brand has to sell something. Past work includes Access Bank, Wakanow, Petralon Energy, Foodcity and Dr. David Ogbueli Ministries.

02What do I actually receive at the end of a branding project?

A brand book, not just a logo file. It specifies logo construction, clear space, the full colour system in hex, RGB, CMYK and Pantone, typography, and every approved lockup. Corner radii and inner paths are specified too, so the mark redraws identically at app-icon size and on the front of a building.

03Do you build the website yourselves, or hand off to a developer?

We build it. The people designing the brand are the people building the store it lives in. That is the reason nothing drifts between the presentation deck and the live page.

04What is GEO, and why does it matter for a Commerce brand?

GEO is generative engine optimisation — being cited in the answers that ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google’s AI Overview generate, rather than only ranking in the ten blue links. When a buyer asks an AI assistant who to buy from, your brand should be in the answer. We build for both.

05Can our team run the site without calling you?

Yes, and that is the point. You get a store and systems your team can operate. We would rather you came back because you are growing than because you are stuck.

06Do you do physical branding and signage?

Yes. Signage, wayfinding and environmental design sit alongside the digital work. A brand has to hold up where people stand in front of it, not only where they scroll past it.

07Is automation an extra cost on top of the build?

No. Automation is scoped in the brief, not sold afterwards. That covers AI agents that qualify and route enquiries, and automations that connect the tools you already pay for.

08Where are you based?

Ajah, Lagos, Nigeria. We work with brands across Nigeria, and remotely with brands outside it.

Tell us what you are building.

Branding, websites, eCommerce, AI agents, automation, explainer videos — if branding and design can solve it, we can do it. Say what you need and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right hands for it.
